“I get to choose the toy that goes in the cereal box!!!” That’s how Tiffany Carver described her role to friends and family when she first started her career with General Mills in 1999. Upon graduating from McMaster University, Tiffany knew that her future lay in the new and different, and that’s exactly what her first role at the cereal giant had to offer. Today, Tiffany leads General Mills’ customer marketing team, pioneering the idea of ‘partnership for change’ and successfully leading a talented team devoted entirely to marketing on behalf of the customer.
Tiffany always finds herself at the epicenter of change. Whether inside the walls of General Mills or as a trusted advisor at the customer’s table, she’s always at the top of the batting order for anyone facing a new challenge. Known for her passion and candour, Tiffany has pushed the envelope on more than one occasion to deliver some of the best-loved promotions and campaigns in the industry. In addition to being a go-to facilitator for innovative thinking, Tiffany is a strong supporter of women in grocery and serves on the women in leadership council for General Mills. Tiffany’s commitment to creativity, leadership, and results was recently recognized by the Canadian grocery industry with a 2015 Star Women in Grocery Award.
A lot has changed in her 16 years with General Mills, including the toys inside the cereal box. What has never wavered is Tiffany’s out of the box thinking that will continue to shake the industry.
