Dr. Hugh Phillips is recognised as a world expert in the cognitive psychology of shopping and its application to instore communications. He holds a doctorate in this subject and was previously a professor at McGill University. He is now president of PFB Inc, a highly regarded instore communications research and strategy agency, which also has its own design and build capacity. The agency has a highly impressive client list of leading retailers and brand owners both in Canada and the U.S.A.
Dr. Phillips has published four books and a plethora of articles for academic journals. He has also acted as an expert witness in the U.S. Federal Court and served on a government committee. He is an accomplished writer and public speaker, previously being a broadcaster and journalist, specialising in retail and consumer affairs. Dr. Phillips is a well known speaker at instore conferences and a highly rated trainer. This is not only because of his expert knowledge-- he is also a published humorist and renowned for being able to think on his feet.
