Head of Research
Alyson Gausby is a data cultivator. As Microsoft’s Canadian Consumer Insights Lead, she is responsible for translating consumer intelligence – from motivated mommies to modern men (and everything in-between) – into trends that are not only insightful for brands, but speak to the future of Canada’s ever-evolving retail ecosystem. With a thorough understanding of the inner workings of Canadians’ online and shopping habits, Gausby takes an informed, yet personal, approach for her monthly column in strategy. In 2014, she was a member of the 2014 strategy Agency of the Year awards judging panel and secured her place as one of Toronto’s most coveted up-and-coming experts, speaking at ICA Canada’s m:AD Women 2014, CMA’s 2014 Mobile Day and the 2014 Shopper Marketing Forum.
Prior to Microsoft, Alyson was Associate Director, brand & advertising research, with leading market research firm Ipsos in the UK and held senior research roles with Toronto-based Crowd Science and comScore.
