Gino Plevano joined Metro in August 2012 with a mandate to spearhead Metro’s digital effort. Since his arrival, Plevano has been instrumental in the delivery Metro’s new digital eco-system, with a completely revamped website and a new mobile application. Before joining Metro, he was Vice-President, digital at SunMedia, the largest newspaper publisher in Canada. He was responsible for the digital strategy of all the properties in Canada (web and mobile), including the Canoe Network of sites, reaching 10 million Canadians a month. On top of his digital experience, he has prior experience in product management and marketing.
