Adams is founder of Marketing Brainology, a consulting practice focused on translating consumer and shopper insights to marketing and corporate America; especially the latest findings from virtual shopping, behavioral science, & neuroScience. Working with PepsiCo the past 10 years, most recently as V.P. of customer strategy and shopper insights, she was responsible for the SMART Learning Center, a retail theater focused on state-of-the art consumer and shopper research.
Adams is an industry thought-leader, and POPAI board member; serving as co-chair of their research sub-committee. In 2012, she received the Industry Achievement Award from POPAI. She has a Ph.D. in political economy from University of Texas at Dallas. She was an adjunct professor for the University of Texas at Dallas and SMU for 15 years.
While at PepsiCo, Adams lead shopper insights for key retail accounts; connecting key shopper attitudes with behaviors. Adams and her team focused on differentiated retailer solutions for their shoppers. She worked closely to bring the most innovative shopper insights research to retailers; including understanding shoppers thru-out the entire shopping cycle and their key priorities.
At both Frito-Lay and PepsiCo, Adams led the charge on re-inventing the way we communicate in circulars, POP, and merchandise in-store. Taking deeply rooted understanding of shoppers into actionable temporary and permanent merchandising solutions for shoppers. She and her team created more female-focused and shoppable destinations that address problems shoppers are trying to solve; such as key occasions and healthy destinations. The ultimate focus was on obtaining sustainable growth for brands and retailers.
