Prior to Loblaw Media, Tan was a pioneering leader at Meta Platforms, being one of the first 1,000 employees globally and helping to transform it into a global media leader. He was also the first Chief Digital Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at WestJet Airlines. Tan has held senior roles at Yahoo!, Sympatico MSN and Bell Canada. Most recently, he was the SVP of Strategy, Data & Products at Rogers Sports & Media before joining Loblaw. 

He is also an industry professor in the Strategic Management Faculty at McMaster University and a guest lecturer in The Directors College’s Innovation Governance program for Board Directors. A thought-leader, change agent, and innovator, Alfredo is helping to shape the future of the industry at the intersection of commerce and media.
