Brown leads Environics' consumer insights and cultural markets groups. He has more than 20 years experience in UK, Asia and North America.

He has also leveraged his ten years of Asian research experience to develop a strong track record on conducting research into the needs of Canada's visible minority communities - especially South Asian and Chinese Canadians.

His areas of expertise are branding and consumer behaviour, especially in retail and packaged goods. He has particular expertise in shopper behaviour and understanding and has worked for many international retailers. He has guided clients in consumer packaged goods such as Coca-Cola and Unilever on their engagement of Chinese and South Asian Canadian consumers. He has extensive experience of conducting research on financial services among Canada's immigrant communities and has worked for TD Canada Trust, RBC, Western Union, ICICI and HSBC on research that has included Chinese and South Asian Canadians as well as other immigrant and visible minority communities (Black, West Asian and Filipino Canadians).

He is the author of the upcoming book, Migration Nation: A Practical Guide To Doing Business in Globalized Canada, that will be published in spring 2014.
