Daria is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Strategic Analytics and Modelling practice and leads category management analyticsHaving spent 20 years in industry Daria brings great passion and deep US and Canadian retail category management and merchandising experience.  She has an in-depth understanding of relationship building, start-up and new market penetration. Daria has helped organizations, from start up to large corporations, in all facets of the merchandising life cycle – vendor/retailer collaboration and negotiations, competitive intelligence, service/product sourcing, category insights, process and human capital design, training and team building/ retention. 

Over her career in industry Daria has managed over $8.0B in retail sales, worked in some of the largest US and Canadian retailers – May Co. Dept Stores (Now Federated), Target Canada, and Aveda and has been a trusted advisor and partner to the major players in the manufacturing world – P&G, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson to name a few.

Daria leverages her deep expertise in category management to help clients digest and interpret immense quantities of data in their organizations utilizing a insight-data driven approach.  She focuses on helping develop insight-driven strategies to address the rapidly changing consumer and the business issues this creates.  Some of the key challenges Daria focuses on are – understanding the consumers shopping behaviors (e.g. basket analysis, shop frequency), category assortment (e.g. new launches, rationalization, category interactions), pricing and promotion strategies, vendor negotiations and retail network design and optimization.  She leads a multi-faceted and cross-functional team ranging from strategists to and advanced analytics teams including market researcher, data architects and highly specialized data scientists. 

Daria’s current clients range from leading retailers across all sectors (grocery, mass merchandising, convenience, home improvement, fashion) and high profile brands and manufacturers.
