Head of Industry For Retail
As head of industry for retail at Google Canada, Kristina Elkhazin works with the country's largest retailers and their agencies to help them understand how the internet can drive more footsteps to stores, build stronger brands and advance customer relationships.
Elkhazin has built her career in retail with over 10 years of experience in various disciplines including promotions, merchandising, planning, and marketing. At Google, she learned to apply her deep understanding of Canadian retail to Google’s solutions and became one of the first non-engineers to win an innovation award at Google for successfully building a product that dynamically scaled paper circular offers into the digital world. More recently, Elkhazin completed a three month work term in Mountain View, CA, working on Google’s same day delivery service – Google Express. During her time there, she lead a project to define how Google Express would measure and manage customer value.
A graduate of the Queen’s School of Business with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Elkhazin realized early in her career that she’d be pursuing retail as a full time career. After working for a few years in Toronto, she moved to New York to complete a degree in merchandising management from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Now living in Toronto with her husband and her active, food-loving 4 year old son, Elkhazin is an avid cross-channel shopper, passionate about transforming retail in Canada.
