Suthamie Poologasingham is a senior advisor, digital and omni-channel and director of research at J.C. Williams Group. She provides her expertise on digital retail, online marketing, and omni-channel commerce to a large network of clients, including retailers and shopping centers. Poologasingham has seven years of market research experience, a key component of providing guidance and insight into the rapidly changing digital world. She also has a practical understanding of the online world as she manages the implementation of online sites and e-commerce stores. Her awareness of the challenges clients face and her market knowledge has provided numerous clients with the business strategies required to avoid costly pitfalls associated with digital opportunities, cut costs, invest wisely and increase ROI.
Poologasingham has researched and advised various clients including most recently Souris Minis, Cadillac Fairview, the Toronto International Film Festival, and Canada Post to name a few. Furthermore, she has worked with financial services firms (e.g. Visa), loyalty firms (e.g. Airmiles) and non-traditional retailers (e.g. universities, hospitals) on their online business strategies.
Poologasingham has spoken extensively and taught on e-commerce and digital shopping including at conferences held by Linkshare-Rakuten as a keynote speaker, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the International Downtown Association. She has written and co-authored chapters and reports for the Retail Council of Canada and the Canadian federal government.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
